SLOW COOKER HONEY GARLIC PORK CHOPS

It can be difficult to get pork chops “just right,” but cooking them in the slow cooker helps them turn out great every time! They’re tender, juicy, and with that sweet and savory honey garlic sauce…oh my word. Just trust me on this one, you’re going to want to try these tonight.

CAN I USE BONE-IN PORK CHOPS?

I prefer the boneless pork chops for this recipe, but you can use either. They will both work well!

WHAT SHOULD I SERVE WITH SLOW COOKER HONEY GARLIC PORK CHOPS?

This recipe goes so well with a number of different sides. You can go the comfort food route and serve it with mashed potatoes (the honey garlic sauce makes an amazing gravy), or you can take it a bit healthier with steamed or roasted vegetables. The choice is up to you!

WILL SLOW COOKER HONEY GARLIC PORK CHOPS FREEZE WELL?

This recipe is so easy to freeze! I love to have extra on hand to be able to thaw and reheat. These pork chops make such a wonderful lunch or dinner!

Ingredients

  • 6 thick cut boneless pork chops
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Season pork chops with salt & pepper
  • Place pork chops in slow cooker
  • Whisk together garlic, ketchup, soy sauce & honey
  • Pour sauce over pork chops
  • Cook on low 4 hours
  • Whisk together cornstarch & ¼ cup cold water
  • Add mixture to slow cooker
  • Cook 1 hour
  • Sprinkle with parsley

Freezer Bag Instructions:

  • Season pork chops with salt & pepper
  • Place pork chops in into gallon size freezer safe bag
  • Whisk together garlic, ketchup, soy sauce & honey, add to bag
  • Label bag & lay flat to freeze
  • Remove from freezer the night before
  • Place contents into slow cooker
  • Cook on low 4 hours
  • Whisk together cornstarch & ¼ cup cold water
  • Add mixture to slow cooker
  • Cook 1 hour
  • Sprinkle with parsley

Happenings From our Family Of 9

Our oldest son came home for fall break from college yesterday.  He has not been home since the semester started and I think this may be the longest he has been away at one time.  Its sure nice to see him again and his siblings love to see him too!
