Do you find yourself in the drive-thru line all too often?

Are you sick of hot dogs

and frozen pizza?

I was, too!  And, I can help!

I no longer have to rely on convenience foods for dinner every night!

Hi, I'm Sarah Robinson.  A busy, work-from-home, homeschooling mom of 7.  I have been a drive -thru using, convenience-food-buying mom for many years, but I found a better way.  I'd like to help you find that way, too, by introducing you to the the Freezer to Slow Cooker & Instant Pot Meal Plan Subscription.

"I will help you to make all of your dinners for the week in 1-2 hours on the weekend.  No more cooking an hour or more a day!"

Sarah's Story....

I remember when I first felt like I hit my breaking point when it came to dinner time.

It was a really busy day. I was cleaning up toddler messes, feeding the baby, teaching my daughter to read, answering my son’s algebra questions, answering emails, fielding phone calls, doing laundry, and more. You name it, I was doing it that day. And then, the question from my daughter came.

“Mom, What’s for dinner?”

I wasn't even close to being ready to think about it yet.   I had no clue what we were going to eat. I didn’t even have many groceries in my pantry to choose from. I had been going to the store on a daily basis, because I never bought enough to get me through, even to the next meal.

After a busy day like this, dinner time is the last thing I want to think about. But, of course, I have to think about dinner every single day of my life! My family depends on me.

I remember saying to myself out loud, “I’m so sick of trying to figure out what to make for dinner”.

I have a feeling you’ve heard yourself say this, too.

It’s not because my kids are picky eaters, although some of them do have some quirks. The truth is, I was tired of giving myself one more thing to do in my already chaotic world of too many responsibilities. And with that one more thing to do, came crankiness.

I was cranky.

My kids were cranky.

My husband was cranky.

We were all too hungry.  So, we opted for the fastest and easiest things we could find. Convenience foods, drive-thru and take out.

We had the mentality of, “Whatever it takes to get them all fed, so we’re all happy again”. And while we were making ourselves temporarily happy, thanks to the food being in our tummy, we weren’t really doing whatever it took to make us happy.

Maybe we weren’t cranky due to hunger, but we were not enjoying how often we were eating hot dogs, pizza and drive-thru burgers, either.

I finally decided that it had to get better. We had to fix this problem.

And so... I came up with the Freezer to Slow Cooker Meal Plans.  They slowly developed into the subscription program that we have today!

Maybe you can relate?

This is for you if...

  • You rely on drive-thru's, take out, and convenience food more than you care to admit.
  • You never have the right ingredients on hand to make what you want to make.
  • You struggle with deciding what to fix for dinner.
  • You're bad about planning ahead, when you go grocery shopping.
  • When you cook dinner, you're eating the same things over and over again.
  • You don't enjoy cooking.
  • You wish you could afford a personal chef.

What is the Freezer to Slow Cooker & Instant Pot Subscription Plan?  Is it for me?

The Freezer to Slow Cooker & Instant Pot Meal Plan is a tool to help you spend less time in the kitchen and more time doing the things you love. You will assemble all of your meals at the same time, in an hour or two over the weekend.  That way you don't have to cook when time is rushed.  When you subscribe, your weekly menu will be delivered to your inbox every Friday morning and will include:

6 Slow Cooker Recipes that also have Instant Pot Instructions!

Each plan comes with six recipes, complete with instructions on how to make the recipe in both the Slow Cooker and the Instant Pot.  It  also includes directions on how to assemble it for the freezer so that you can cook it later on in the week.

Grocery List

I am often amazed at how long I can spend making a grocery list.  If you purchase this plan, you will no longer have to make your grocery list for your dinners each week.  You can quickly run to the store, saving you time and money in the long run.  Each ingredient has  a recipe number by it, so that if you decide not to make one of the recipes, you can easily mark that ingredient off of your shopping list .

Assembly Instructions

I know you may not be familiar with assembling your meals for the week all at once, so in each meal plan, I include step-by-step instructions on how to get your meals ready for the freezer.  I walk you through what order to do things in, in order to get your meals assembled in the fastest way possible.  We will be chopping similar items all at once!

Side Suggestions

Each recipe has side dish suggestions attached to it.  In addition, there is also a side suggestions shopping list that you can use, should you choose to use the given suggestions.

Blank Shopping List

Do you have more items you would like to add to your list?  I have provided a blank shopping list with each weekly menu, so you can add anything else you may need.

If you would like to place labels on your freezer bags, I've got printable labels with cooking instructions attached toward the end of each cookbook.  All you'll have to do is print it on printable label paper or on regular paper and tape it on.

Why Should I Buy the Freezer to Slow Cooker & Instant Pot  Subscription?

  • Saves Time.  A recent survey revealed that 90% of Sidetracked Sarah readers have said that they love Freezer to Slow Cooker & Instant Pot meal plans because they save time. What family doesn't need more time? The beauty of this plan, is that I make your meal plan for you. You don't have to think about it, you don't have to plan your grocery list, you just have to hit print (or pull it up on your phone) and go! So simple!  Each weekly menu will only take you 1-2 hours per week to prepare. (My last cooking session took me 1.5 hours for our family of 9....) All you will have to do is put it in the slow cooker each morning or in the Instant Pot in the evening and make sure it thaws out
  •  the night before.
  • Saves Money.  Many people have told me that cooking from scratch more has helped them to save money on groceries! By having a plan when you go to the grocery store you're more likely to stick to the list, rather than buy lots of convenience foods, too. We all know that convenience foods can add up fast!
  • Keeps You Out of the Kitchen Every Night.  This is the number one benefit to me. I don't like stopping whatever it is that I'm doing that day, to start dinner. I love being able to put it in, in the morning and have it ready later in the day.  It totally changes the whole outlook of my day!
  • Great Variety Every Week.  This menu will typically have one pork recipe, 2 chicken recipes, 1-2 ground beef recipes and 1-2 other cuts of beef recipes. There will be some variation, but that is what I try to stick to. There will be a mix of Mexican dishes, Italian dishes, American dishes and more. We love variety, but we also love pleasing a kid's taste buds, so they are very kid and picky husband friendly!
  • Less Stress.  One of the things that causes me stress, is always having decisions to make. When you don't have to make the decisions about dinner, your stress level will go down. Also, by not having to hurry around to cook dinner in a timely manner, your meal times will be so much less stressful. Picture yourself at dinner time on a regular basis and think about the chaos that often surrounds it. Now, picture you walking into the kitchen at 5:00 p.m. with dinner already ready. You may have to make a quick side dish, but that's nothing compared to starting a dinner from scratch. This can happen on a daily basis and you'll get delicious food! No more take-out every other night!

"We've Seen Our Grocery Bill Drop Significantly"

"Hi Sarah!  Thank you so much for all the great recipes that you've shared on your blog!  I am a mom of a 2 year old girl and our family will be growing this November when we welcome our second child, a baby boy, into our lives!

I started following you about a month ago and since then, I have made 3 week's worth of your meals, we've seen our grocery bill drop significantly because I'm actually being more purposeful with my list and we're shopping at Aldi now, and I am loving that I won't have to worrry about the hassle of making dinner when the new baby arrives in 2 months!

I feel like I am "providing" for my family, at last!

"I want to thank you for the work you do on the recipes...I feel like I am "providing" for my family, at last!  My husband even said, after the first week, that he felt like a king, to be able to come home to a cooked meal (he often gets home about 3 hrs before, so this is the ideal solution for our current lifestyle)!  I am not sure what that says about us/me, that the standard was set so low for him to feel like royalty, but I'll take it!  Thanks again!!

But What If?

If you are not yet sure if you need this subscription, let me help, by answering some commonly asked questions.

What If I Can't Afford It?

When you look at the cost on a weekly basis, it is like paying someone anywhere from $2.63 to $3.45 per week to pick your meals, make your grocery list and tell you exactly what to do to get your meals prepared a week at a time.  How much is that worth to you?  What is your time worth?  How long would it take?  Do you think it's worth about $3 per week?  What if it saved you that much and more per week?

By having a menu plan, many Freezer to Slow Cooker & Instant Pot users have reported that it actually saves them money because they don't buy unneeded items at the store in desperation! They quit buying as many convenience foods, too.  (Read some of the testimonials below for more information.)

What if I Don't Have Enough Time to Assemble The Meals Each Week?

If you don't have the time to assemble a week at a time, you can assemble a day at a time. You don't have to prepare them in advance, it's just a nice little asset to help you, if you can make the time for that.  A typical meal preparation time takes approximately 1 hour, but sometimes takes closer to 2 hours, depending on the recipes involved.

What If I don't Like The Meals?

If you don't like them, you can cancel your subscription at any time. But, I've been told time and time again, that families LOVE my meal plans. They're very kid friendly, pick-husband friendly and easily adaptable to your family's tastes.

What If I Don't Need 6 Meals a Week?

We've made the grocery list so that it's super easy to mark things off that you won't be needing. Each recipe is numbered, and each ingredient has the recipe number by it, so if you don't need it, you can check it off of the shopping list very easily. This also helps you when you're taking inventory of your own pantry at home.

How one family of 4 puts the menu to use

"I purchased the  plan and have been preparing my freezer to crockpot meals for four weeks now.

I do my shopping on Saturday and prep on Sunday. I choose 5 recipes a week, and I actually double the recipes to create 2 sets of the weekly meals (making 10 meals) … I pop one set into the refrigerator freezer for the coming week, and I store the second set in the deep freezer for a future week; I have another full month of meals already on standby! It takes me about 2 hours.

On average, I spend around $200 a week on groceries (buying ONLY organic/hormone-free meat, veggies, pastas, sauces, etc.) … That is $20 a meal for a family of 4, AND each dinner leaves us with leftovers for 4 (so really, each meal could feed 8!).

I package leftovers every night in individual, 2-compartment trays with lids (bpa free, freezer/dishwasher/microwave safe) … The hubby takes one to work for lunch and my homeschooled child and I eat two for lunch. What about the other 2 nights of the week, you ask? … I only prepped 5 meals for the week. With our savings, we enjoy a guilt-free meal out at a restaurant one night a week; usually Friday or Saturday. And one night of the week, we take the remaining leftovers and have a ‘clear the fridge night’ … I warm up all of the leftovers and everyone picks their favorite of the week OR we sample a little from each! Bam! … Clean fridge, ready for a new week.

"The ingredients are things I already have on hand"

"I just wanted to thank you for your recipes! I subscribed to your meal plan last week and started cooking the recipes for my family. I have been hearing how good supper is every night! Your offer came at the right time as I was in a slump and at the “don’t know what to fix anymore” place. Just having ideas helps me so much.

There are a couple of things about your recipes that I appreciate that I wanted to share with you - they are recipes for food that real, ordinary people eat; and the ingredient are things that I already have on hand.  My family is not impressed with fancy food, and I find it a nuisance to have to buy special ingredients that I will only use once!"
