Can you believe that little ‘ol me has had this blog for a year now?  I started it because blogging intrigued me and I seemed to have nothing but time while I was sitting, nursing my baby for what felt like hours on end.  Now, I have an active one year old and not quite as much time, but I am still loving it!  I have had a lot of fun, getting to know so many of my readers and fellow bloggers!  I so appreciate you joining me out here in blogland and I’m already concocting ideas of what this next year will be bringing!

Here’s a little timeline of the past year and some of my most popular posts!

September 29th, 2011:  Sidetracked Sarah begins

September 30th, 2011:  Build Your Own Dining Room Table.

I was big pregnant when we built this thing, but I knew that we weren’t going to be able to fit our big family around our little 4 seater table any more!  It was time for a new design!  One of these days I’ll get a better picture of this thing in our dining area!

October 10th, 2011 – Week One of Freezer to Slow Cooker was shared

There have been so many of you come here because of the Freezer to Slow Cooker recipes that I have on the site.  I plan to add a lot more this year!

November 9th, 2011 – Lunch Baskets Reduce Dishes

This is something that I really need to return to.  I keep forgetting about them!  I should keep them out in plain site.

December 3, 2011 – Released Free e-book 25 Days of Christmas Crafts for Children

January 10th, 2012 – When Birthing Doesn’t Go as Planned

This was a very difficult thing for me to write about.  It took a long time for me to get over the fact that I, the natural birthing mama, had a C-section!

February 6th, 2012 – 14 Reasons to Skip the Soda

This continued to be a struggle for me.  Something I wasn’t able to give up until I started this new Get Healthy & Fit Challenge that we’re doing right now.

March 7th, 2012 – It’s Slime Time

The kids had a great time with this!  Be careful though, if you leave it out it will ooze and drip out and then eventually dry out!

April is the month that I moved my blog over to WordPress and also attended the Titus 2:1 Blogging Conference!

April 26th, 2012 – Hair Clips — An Easy Craft Project

It was fun to realize that I can actually make my own hair clips.  In fact, I’ve realized that I can make a lot of things that I never thought that I could!

May 23rd, 2012 – Cheesy Chicken Ranch Pasta

This was a popular recipe!  It was pinned over 700 times!

June 6, 2012 – 10 Rainy Day Activities for Children

From homemade finger paint to indoor scavenger hunts, your kids will be loving the rain days!

July 16th – Week 4 of Freezer to Slow Cooker menu plan was published, complete with printable shopping list.

August 3rd, 2012 – How to Begin Homeschooling with Little or No Money

August, I also hosted the 5 Days of Organizing & Cleaning Series as well as the Mommy Time Facebook Party.

So there you have it.  12 months of reader favorites, each month of the past year!  I do hope that YOU are enjoying yourself.  If you have any suggestions of topics you’d like to see me share about in the upcoming future, feel free to email me with the idea.

Thank you so much! As a special needs mommy these recipes have helped us so much.   I often am very busy with being a nurse for our child that I don't have time for making sure we get meals.  This allows me to do all my prep on the weekends, while my husband is home to help, and to cook during the week.  So grateful!

Sarah’s Freezer to Slow Cooker ebooks have been a fantastic addition to my meal plans.  They make meal planning easy and my family happy. I love the way each recipe is laid out, with a shopping list and ingredient prep list, along with cooking instructions. Sarah’s done all the hard work for me!  The recipes have used have all been delicious and easily adaptable to my family’s taste and the number of people I’m serving.

I purchased all of your freezer to slow cooker ebooks a month or so ago and I'm in love with this way of cooking.  I now have taken all 10 weeks of recipes and written them of my menu planner and then I repeated the 10 weeks and will continue to do so throughout the year.  My family of 5 adults and 1 child enjoy the meals that you have planned and I have cooked and I'm excited that the next time when that meal comes due up in the rotation I won't have to purchase anything but just pull it from the freezer.  Thank you so much

This makes my life so much easier. I'm a busy work at home/stay at home mom, wife, business woman and I feel like dinner is always the thing I just never get time to do. We have done like 15 of the crockpot recipes from Sarah and they are all very yummy. They get a thumbs up from my husband and kids every time. And there is always enough for my husband to take the left overs at least 2x per recipe. I have a family of 5, 2 adults, 21, 13, 16. So it makes plenty. Thank you Sarah.

I am a 59-year-old wife and mother of two grown children.  I love your idea of fixing a lot of meals ahead of time and then pulling one out, put it in the crockpot, and you have dinner when you get home.  I hate feeling rushed when I cook so Monday - Friday I use those crockpot meals and make enough that we have lunch the next day.  I take Sunday afternoon, fix up what I need for the week (I don't have a lot of freezer space so I do a week's worth at a time) and I'm done with it!  Saturdays I like to try new recipes from some of my cookbooks which I am finding I can freeze as well!  So you have shown me a whole new way to organize my time and still put a healthy meal on the table.  Thanks so much and I look forward to future blogs.
