CROCKPOT TURKEY PUMPKIN CHILI
There are few things that are more suited to a chilly afternoon or evening than a nice, hot bowl of chili. One thing I love about this dish is how versatile it is! There are so many yummy things you can do with chili…and right now, this Crockpot Turkey Pumpkin Chili is a family favorite!
This dish has a wonderful blend of flavors. Between the seasoned turkey, pumpkin, tomatoes, and spices, this chili is something your entire family will love!
CAN I USE ANOTHER TYPE OF MEAT?
We enjoy the turkey in this chili, and I love the health benefits of a leaner meat. However, you can easily use whatever type of ground meat you would like. The flavors in this recipe will also go well with ground beef, chicken, or pork!
WHAT DOES THE PUMPKIN ADD TO CROCKPOT TURKEY PUMPKIN CHILI?
Pumpkin puree might sound like an odd addition to chili, but trust me on this one – you’re going to love it! It adds a richness that can’t be beat, and it also serves as a thickener. In addition, it also boosts the nutritional content of the recipe by quite a bit!
WILL CROCKPOT TURKEY PUMPKIN CHILI FREEZE WELL?
This chili recipe freezes really easily! I love having some on hand to warm up for a quick lunch or dinner. It’s so easy to make that you can easily prep it ahead of time and reheat it whenever you like!
