Family nights are an excellent way to get and remain connected as a family. Make it a tradition that is not easily broken each week. These special times need to be carefully guarded otherwise they are easily replaced with the busyness of life. Like any gift from God, we should embrace our children and the responsibility that comes with them. As we discussed in an earlier chapter, we must show

Are you a procrastinator?  If you’ve been reading here very long, you’ll know that procrastination is one of my big weaknesses!  I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about this issue. Why do I procrastinate?  It is for one of several different reasons. I’m too lazy I’m not looking forward to doing it I’m too busy and can’t seem to make the time for it The job/task seems too overwhelming

My reading list has been growing and growing.  Here’s some of the books that we’re either currently reading or that I’ve only half read and plan to read in the near future.  I’m a bit of a procrastinator, so I pick these up and put them back down over and over again and keep not hitting the end of them.  I’m getting very close on a couple of them though!

When we moved to our house almost 4 years ago, we bought a Frigidaire Front Loader washing machine from Lowe’s.  It was on clearance, so we found a great deal on it.   What we didn’t know when we bought it, is that the filter can get clogged easily and cause your washer not to empty all the water out, thus leaving you with a non functioning washing machine.

How to Make a Pizza Hut Pizza Crust (Copy Cat Recipe) I love making homemade pizza.  Ever since, I bought a used Bosch Mixer, making the pizza crust is a breeze, because I don’t have to knead the dough.  I’ve never been very thrilled with the crust though.  I mean, it’s OK, but nothing that I’m real excited about. Finally, I decided to do a search for a Pizza Hut

Today is Monday!  Don’t you just love Mondays?  I must admit, sometimes they seem scary to me.  There is an overwhelming amount of work that needs to be done, running through my head on Mondays.  Just make a list and get through it, one thing at a time.  (Talking to myself here, lol!) Did you all have a nice weekend?  We had an eventful one.  On Saturday, one of my

Cultivating a Work Ethic in Your Children (This post contains affiliate links) Do you have a long to do list of projects that you’d like to accomplish?  I know we do!   Saturday, for us, was project day.  Our biggest goal was to mow.  We mow for my husband’s parents (who live out-of-state but still own a house here).  In addition, we have a home on almost 5 acres that starts

I began blogging at the end of September, 2011. I had given birth to my baby boy at the end of June and I was feeling very tied down to the chair. He was nursing all. the. time. He was a very needy infant, and didn’t nap unless I was holding him. He cried often. I remember thinking, “if I’m going to be here anyway, I may as well

I’ve had the materials to make these hair clips for a couple months, but I kept putting it off.  The other night, when I made those t-shirt flowers, I had tried to make these first.  That was a flop!  I had bought some fabric glue that didn’t work so well!  I ended up with some sticky ribbon and sticky fingers but nothing was sticking well enough to call it success.

I was trying to make some hair clips with ribbon and fabric glue tonight.  It didn’t go so well.  I think I bought the wrong kind of glue because I just ended up a glued on, sticky mess!  Do you ever have projects like that?  Yeah….not fun!  That led me to try this project instead!   Here’s what you need: An old t-shirt (or some kind of t-shirt fabric) Scissors

Thank you so much! As a special needs mommy these recipes have helped us so much.   I often am very busy with being a nurse for our child that I don't have time for making sure we get meals.  This allows me to do all my prep on the weekends, while my husband is home to help, and to cook during the week.  So grateful!

  • Linda SearsOwner of Freezer to Slow Cooker Menus

Sarah’s Freezer to Slow Cooker ebooks have been a fantastic addition to my meal plans.  They make meal planning easy and my family happy. I love the way each recipe is laid out, with a shopping list and ingredient prep list, along with cooking instructions. Sarah’s done all the hard work for me!  The recipes have used have all been delicious and easily adaptable to my family’s taste and the number of people I’m serving.

I purchased all of your freezer to slow cooker ebooks a month or so ago and I'm in love with this way of cooking.  I now have taken all 10 weeks of recipes and written them of my menu planner and then I repeated the 10 weeks and will continue to do so throughout the year.  My family of 5 adults and 1 child enjoy the meals that you have planned and I have cooked and I'm excited that the next time when that meal comes due up in the rotation I won't have to purchase anything but just pull it from the freezer.  Thank you so much

This makes my life so much easier. I'm a busy work at home/stay at home mom, wife, business woman and I feel like dinner is always the thing I just never get time to do. We have done like 15 of the crockpot recipes from Sarah and they are all very yummy. They get a thumbs up from my husband and kids every time. And there is always enough for my husband to take the left overs at least 2x per recipe. I have a family of 5, 2 adults, 21, 13, 16. So it makes plenty. Thank you Sarah.

I am a 59-year-old wife and mother of two grown children.  I love your idea of fixing a lot of meals ahead of time and then pulling one out, put it in the crockpot, and you have dinner when you get home.  I hate feeling rushed when I cook so Monday - Friday I use those crockpot meals and make enough that we have lunch the next day.  I take Sunday afternoon, fix up what I need for the week (I don't have a lot of freezer space so I do a week's worth at a time) and I'm done with it!  Saturdays I like to try new recipes from some of my cookbooks which I am finding I can freeze as well!  So you have shown me a whole new way to organize my time and still put a healthy meal on the table.  Thanks so much and I look forward to future blogs.
