Today is day 2 of my series: If you missed yesterday’s post, you’ll want to check out How to Make Coasters: Patriotic Style.   __________________________________________ I love making these 4th of July layered drinks!  Not only do they look really nice, they also taste amazing. In order to maintain your layers, you need to select beverages with varying amounts of sugar content.  The higher the sugar content, the more it sinks.

The NOT So Perfect Father’s Day Photo

I had it all planned out.  I had the CUTEST picture idea for Father’s Day.  I was going to line them all up.  Write on their feet the following words:  “We Love You Dad” and snap a picture of their feet, with all 6 kids somewhat blurry in the background, so you can still see who the feet belong to.  The actual feet would be in focus.  Great idea, right?

The daddy in our family is a lover of all things sweet.  Candy is his specialty.  That’s why, when my 13 year old daughter ran across a card like the one I’m going to show you today, she decided our family was most definitely going to make this for their dad! Have you heard the Chris August song called, “I Love Candy”?  We think it was written just for my

We have been eyeing Father’s Day crafts for a while on Pinterest.  I knew this was one of the first crafts that we’d try out because it’s both easy AND extremely cute, too! We started out thinking we wanted to have child handprints with messy paint.  We did try it….as you can see here: But I could tell it wasn’t the look we were going for on the paper.  I

Last week, when I did my monthly Shaklee 180 video, I decided that in order to break through that plateau I’ve been experiencing, I’d start reporting to you weekly!  Let me tell you, I can’t believe a week has already gone by!  I have been known to say “time goes by quicker, the more kids you have” and I’m starting to believe that wholeheartedly!  But, that just means I need

I love having a Kindle to tote all my books around on!  There is never a lack of things to read as long as I can remember to keep it charged and ready.  Recently, when the Ultimate Homemaking eBook sale was going on, I obtained a lot more  books for my little reader.  Now, when I’m waiting at stoplights, waiting at appointments or picking up kids, I will always have

In my life this week…  (Ours is red) We bought a new bike trailer so we could go bike riding more often.  Thankfully, I don’t have to pull it behind me.  My husband offered to let me take it over so that I could burn some extra calories, but I assured him I was good with my extra weight, I don’t need to add another 65 pounds to it!  It’s

Thank you so much! As a special needs mommy these recipes have helped us so much.   I often am very busy with being a nurse for our child that I don't have time for making sure we get meals.  This allows me to do all my prep on the weekends, while my husband is home to help, and to cook during the week.  So grateful!

  • Linda SearsOwner of Freezer to Slow Cooker Menus

Sarah’s Freezer to Slow Cooker ebooks have been a fantastic addition to my meal plans.  They make meal planning easy and my family happy. I love the way each recipe is laid out, with a shopping list and ingredient prep list, along with cooking instructions. Sarah’s done all the hard work for me!  The recipes have used have all been delicious and easily adaptable to my family’s taste and the number of people I’m serving.

I purchased all of your freezer to slow cooker ebooks a month or so ago and I'm in love with this way of cooking.  I now have taken all 10 weeks of recipes and written them of my menu planner and then I repeated the 10 weeks and will continue to do so throughout the year.  My family of 5 adults and 1 child enjoy the meals that you have planned and I have cooked and I'm excited that the next time when that meal comes due up in the rotation I won't have to purchase anything but just pull it from the freezer.  Thank you so much

This makes my life so much easier. I'm a busy work at home/stay at home mom, wife, business woman and I feel like dinner is always the thing I just never get time to do. We have done like 15 of the crockpot recipes from Sarah and they are all very yummy. They get a thumbs up from my husband and kids every time. And there is always enough for my husband to take the left overs at least 2x per recipe. I have a family of 5, 2 adults, 21, 13, 16. So it makes plenty. Thank you Sarah.

I am a 59-year-old wife and mother of two grown children.  I love your idea of fixing a lot of meals ahead of time and then pulling one out, put it in the crockpot, and you have dinner when you get home.  I hate feeling rushed when I cook so Monday - Friday I use those crockpot meals and make enough that we have lunch the next day.  I take Sunday afternoon, fix up what I need for the week (I don't have a lot of freezer space so I do a week's worth at a time) and I'm done with it!  Saturdays I like to try new recipes from some of my cookbooks which I am finding I can freeze as well!  So you have shown me a whole new way to organize my time and still put a healthy meal on the table.  Thanks so much and I look forward to future blogs.
