In my life this week…

 (Ours is red)

We bought a new bike trailer so we could go bike riding more often.  Thankfully, I don’t have to pull it behind me.  My husband offered to let me take it over so that I could burn some extra calories, but I assured him I was good with my extra weight, I don’t need to add another 65 pounds to it!  It’s been a bit of a killer getting used to the cardio of the hills, but overall I’m enjoying it.  It’s sort of a love/hate relationship.  LOL

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

We’re going to help my inlaws move.  They’re moving close to us again, so it’s a good thing.  My kids will enjoy having their grandparents closer!

My favorite thing this week was…

I love watching my 1 year old develop his language skills.  This week, when he wanted to go outside and he thought I wasn’t going to let him.  He made it all the way down the porch stairs, then turned around, pointed his finger at me and said “STOP”.  Ha, I didn’t even know he knew that word!  Of course, seeing him exert his will is somewhat amusing, but something that I will have to teach him to control.

My kiddos favorite thing this week was…

Playing with her hair

My 3 oldest children got to go to an Indian Children’s Home this weekend with our church in order to spend time playing with the children who are placed in the homes. They always have a great time playing with the children.  It’s definitely a highlight of their weekend when they’re able to work it out to go.

Things I’m working on…

I still need to switch out all of the children’s clothes. I still have all the winter clothes in their drawers.  I’m hoping to find some time to do that this week.  Otherwise all of the summer clothes are going be mixed with winter and we’ll have a big mess!

I’m cooking…

I’m going to make my crockpot menu soon as I’m having a hard time cooking these days.  In fact, this week my kids have to be at VBS by 5:45 each evening, so I will need to be feeding the by 5:00 at the latest.  That’s early for this 7 or after dinner eating family!    Be looking for a new Freezer to Slow Cooker Meal Week.

I’m grateful for…

My church.  We were a bit displaced for a few years, waiting on where God really wanted us.  He led us back to where we originally came from and He has truly been working in our lives.  I am so thankful to be back where it’s comfortable and where we can grow in our faith and be challenged as well!

I rewarded my kids this week by…

Giving them a sucker.  It’s amazing to me how much willing work you can get out of little kids when they think they can have a piece of candy, lol.  My 4 year old was a living room cleaning machine when she found out that was the reward.  This week, I’m upping the ante a little, rewarding them with a trip to the pool if they can show me clean bedrooms.  We shall see!

Something I  have my eye on…

2 things really.  A new blender (mine broke this week…..boohoo) and a new laptop.  I’d love to get an Apple Macbook Pro, but….we shall see if I can really spend that much money.  Something that’s not the lowest end Acer model from Walmart would be great.  I’ve already filled this one up and seriously need more RAM.

A photo to share …

My 1 year old (he’ll be 2 at the end of this month) woke up from his nap today and then fell back to sleep on the floor.  He’s so precious!  He loves to go night night with his mommy.

Thank you so much! As a special needs mommy these recipes have helped us so much.   I often am very busy with being a nurse for our child that I don't have time for making sure we get meals.  This allows me to do all my prep on the weekends, while my husband is home to help, and to cook during the week.  So grateful!

Sarah’s Freezer to Slow Cooker ebooks have been a fantastic addition to my meal plans.  They make meal planning easy and my family happy. I love the way each recipe is laid out, with a shopping list and ingredient prep list, along with cooking instructions. Sarah’s done all the hard work for me!  The recipes have used have all been delicious and easily adaptable to my family’s taste and the number of people I’m serving.

I purchased all of your freezer to slow cooker ebooks a month or so ago and I'm in love with this way of cooking.  I now have taken all 10 weeks of recipes and written them of my menu planner and then I repeated the 10 weeks and will continue to do so throughout the year.  My family of 5 adults and 1 child enjoy the meals that you have planned and I have cooked and I'm excited that the next time when that meal comes due up in the rotation I won't have to purchase anything but just pull it from the freezer.  Thank you so much

This makes my life so much easier. I'm a busy work at home/stay at home mom, wife, business woman and I feel like dinner is always the thing I just never get time to do. We have done like 15 of the crockpot recipes from Sarah and they are all very yummy. They get a thumbs up from my husband and kids every time. And there is always enough for my husband to take the left overs at least 2x per recipe. I have a family of 5, 2 adults, 21, 13, 16. So it makes plenty. Thank you Sarah.

I am a 59-year-old wife and mother of two grown children.  I love your idea of fixing a lot of meals ahead of time and then pulling one out, put it in the crockpot, and you have dinner when you get home.  I hate feeling rushed when I cook so Monday - Friday I use those crockpot meals and make enough that we have lunch the next day.  I take Sunday afternoon, fix up what I need for the week (I don't have a lot of freezer space so I do a week's worth at a time) and I'm done with it!  Saturdays I like to try new recipes from some of my cookbooks which I am finding I can freeze as well!  So you have shown me a whole new way to organize my time and still put a healthy meal on the table.  Thanks so much and I look forward to future blogs.
