Welcome back!  It’s Stop Procrastinating Wednesday!  Have you been working on some goals in and around your homes this week?  I had set my standards a little high again.  I keep forgetting about my list!  Ha!  That’s what being sidetracked by so many awesome kids will do for you.  That’s OK though.  Right before I sat down to write this post, I decided to run off and tackle a couple of them, so I can claim success.  Yeah, I admit it, I procrastinated a bit on the “Stop Procrastinating” Goals.   It’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks isn’t it?   The good news though is that even though I procrastinated on those couple jobs that I got done last minute, they were completed way sooner than I would have done them, had they not made THE LIST.  There’s power in writing it down.  It makes me happy to mark things off.  Maybe this week, I should actually print my list and hang it somewhere I will notice it.  Hmmm, now that’s an idea!

OK, now to tell you about how I did this week.  Below you will find my list that I posted last week.  I will cross off everything I got done.

  1. Go through sippy cup lids and throw away unneeded ones.  I “bravely” showed you that mess, last week at the FB working party.
  2. Sweep Cobwebs from ceilings and corners of house, then dust book shelves.  Done, but guilty of doing it the night before!  And wow….what a lot of cobwebs.  I must confess, I don’t notice them until I’m looking for them.  I must be better about that!
  3. Organize One Drawer in the Bathroom.  Done.  But I chose the easiest one to do….another last minute job!
  4. T-tapp Exercise Program.  Do 15 Minute Video 2x.  Not Done….I was so sore from my exercise class last week, I could barely walk all week.  I did make it back to an exercise class at the gym on Tuesday though.  So, still just one time.
  5. Take Down Christmas Tree and store away in Basement – I am so completely guilty of still having my Christmas Tree up, this one is definitely going on next week’s list.
  6. Take Down Christmas Lights Outside – Yes, they’re still up!  It was really cold this past week.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
  7. Plan another child’s weekly schedule (we are still doing school, I just want to be more planned).  Done.  School is going well right now!  Love that!
  8. Clear the top of my dresser.  I did this one halfway and then piled it back up.  Needs to be finished up!
  9. Match socks – I did this one for 15 minutes, but we really need to do more.  Seems like no socks have matches.  It’s about time to do a sock burning party!
  10. Help kids clean out their school bins.  I’m marking this as done, because I’m happy with what I got done.  We only did one, but it looks so much nicer!
Now, it’s time to talk about my goals for this week.  The fun part about sharing my goals for the week is that I can work on them with you this afternoon at our weekly “Stop Procrastinating” Working Facebook party.  Have you thought about joining us?  You should!  You’re invited!  What we do is meet every Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. CT.  We start the party by chatting for 15 minutes.  Then, we work for 15 minutes.  We continue that pattern until 4:00 p.m. CT rolls around.  My friend Stephanie from Bowmania is often posting helpful hints and tips throughout the party.  It’s held on my Facebook wall.

Goals for 1-16-13 to 1-23-13

  1. Take down the Christmas Tree!  My 3 year old is going to think Christmas is coming again.  LOL
  2. Take down Christmas Lights.  (Please weather, warm up!)
  3. Wash Mirrors in House
  4. Wash Some Windows in House for 15 Minutes
  5. Organize another Bathroom Drawer
  6. Tidy my Bedroom (it seems to be the dumping ground)
  7. Tidy Pantry Shelf
  8. Plan One Week of Freezer to Slow Cooker Meals
I’m stopping at 8 this week.  I just have a feeling that is my limit!  I will be super happy if I get all those things done.  I mean, really, really happy.

Now tell me.  What are your goals for the week?

Thank you so much! As a special needs mommy these recipes have helped us so much.   I often am very busy with being a nurse for our child that I don't have time for making sure we get meals.  This allows me to do all my prep on the weekends, while my husband is home to help, and to cook during the week.  So grateful!

Sarah’s Freezer to Slow Cooker ebooks have been a fantastic addition to my meal plans.  They make meal planning easy and my family happy. I love the way each recipe is laid out, with a shopping list and ingredient prep list, along with cooking instructions. Sarah’s done all the hard work for me!  The recipes have used have all been delicious and easily adaptable to my family’s taste and the number of people I’m serving.

I purchased all of your freezer to slow cooker ebooks a month or so ago and I'm in love with this way of cooking.  I now have taken all 10 weeks of recipes and written them of my menu planner and then I repeated the 10 weeks and will continue to do so throughout the year.  My family of 5 adults and 1 child enjoy the meals that you have planned and I have cooked and I'm excited that the next time when that meal comes due up in the rotation I won't have to purchase anything but just pull it from the freezer.  Thank you so much

This makes my life so much easier. I'm a busy work at home/stay at home mom, wife, business woman and I feel like dinner is always the thing I just never get time to do. We have done like 15 of the crockpot recipes from Sarah and they are all very yummy. They get a thumbs up from my husband and kids every time. And there is always enough for my husband to take the left overs at least 2x per recipe. I have a family of 5, 2 adults, 21, 13, 16. So it makes plenty. Thank you Sarah.

I am a 59-year-old wife and mother of two grown children.  I love your idea of fixing a lot of meals ahead of time and then pulling one out, put it in the crockpot, and you have dinner when you get home.  I hate feeling rushed when I cook so Monday - Friday I use those crockpot meals and make enough that we have lunch the next day.  I take Sunday afternoon, fix up what I need for the week (I don't have a lot of freezer space so I do a week's worth at a time) and I'm done with it!  Saturdays I like to try new recipes from some of my cookbooks which I am finding I can freeze as well!  So you have shown me a whole new way to organize my time and still put a healthy meal on the table.  Thanks so much and I look forward to future blogs.
