Skinny Gut Progress Report

I’ve been using the Renew Life Skinny Gut Ultimate Shakes for about 3 weeks now.  I began by telling you about my plan, and how I expected that I would use the shakes. Then, I shared my favorite Skinny Gut shake recipes.  This week, I wanted to tell you how I’m doing and if I’m seeing any results or even sticking to my plan.

Am I Sticking to My Plan?

Yes and no.  I have not been drinking the 2 shakes a day.  Mostly, I get one.  I aim to increase this to two a day still, but my changes seem to take place at the slow and steady pace.  I really don’t like change and I really like over eating, so my brain is getting retrained.  I have struggled with getting exercise in as often as I had originally planned, too.  I’m a busy mom of 7 kids, one of whom is a baby who is always getting into things, but progress is being made and I will build upon it!  Do I work out 5 days a week?  No.  Will I keep trying to?  Yes!

Do You Notice a Difference While Using Skinny Gut Shakes?

Yes!  I can really tell a difference when I’m drinking the shakes as opposed to not drinking them.  For starters, when I don’t drink a shake for breakfast, I tend to start wanting to snack on foods that are full of carbohydrates as well as foods high in sugar.  I’ve noticed that my cravings are less on the days that I’ve had a shake, too.*  In fact, one day, I was not hungry when it came time to eat dinner. I was almost shocked!  I’m always starving by dinner.

Second, I’ve been losing weight.  I’ve lost about 4 pounds in the past 3 weeks.  It’s not as much as I had hoped for, but it’s definitely progress in the right direction.  I’m still nursing my baby, and I tend to hang on to weight while nursing.  As I continue to keep my gut healthy, it will help me to drop weight a little more easily.*

Third, I’ve noticed that my digestion is much better!  Does that mean I’m successfully healing my gut?  I think so!  Yay!   I no longer have sudden stomach cramps after I eat (a problem that I had several times a week) and my bathroom trips have become more regular and less dreadful.    This is because in each shake, there is a good source of dietary fiber.  The Skinny Gut Certified Organic Acacia Fibers help provide 5 grams of the 20-35 grams of fiber recommended daily.  They also:

• Help curb your appetite*

• Promote digestive health & gut balance*

• Provide prebiotic action that promotes the growth of probiotics or “good bacteria” naturally found in your gut*

• Help remove digestive toxins*

Do I like the flavors of the Skinny Gut Shakes?

I love them.  In fact, when my can is out, I get a big sniff of it, because I really like the way the powder smells.  I know, that sounds weird, but it makes me happy!  At first, I was hesitant to drink it without adding other ingredients to it, because I was afraid I wouldn’t like it.  Overall, I do tend to add ingredients almost every time, but one reader, who recently made a Skinny Gut Shakes purchase (hi Amy!), asked if I like the shakes without added ingredients.

Reader Question

I tried the Renew Life Skinny Gut Chocolate Shake with only almond milk and it was really good.  In fact, I thought to myself, why do I add ingredients to this one?

I tried Renew Life Skinny Gut Vanilla Shake with water and ice.  I had a harder time getting that one down.  I think my biggest problem was that the ice got so thick (like a thick shake), that the shake mix and the ice would separate.  So, I wasn’t crazy about it with thick water, lol, but I think as long as you mixed it up really well with cold water, being careful not to add too much ice, it would still be great.

If you decide to give Skinny Gut Shakes a try, let me know what you think.  Do you have a favorite recipe?  What’s your favorite flavor?  Do you have results to share yet?

Thank you so much! As a special needs mommy these recipes have helped us so much.   I often am very busy with being a nurse for our child that I don't have time for making sure we get meals.  This allows me to do all my prep on the weekends, while my husband is home to help, and to cook during the week.  So grateful!

Sarah’s Freezer to Slow Cooker ebooks have been a fantastic addition to my meal plans.  They make meal planning easy and my family happy. I love the way each recipe is laid out, with a shopping list and ingredient prep list, along with cooking instructions. Sarah’s done all the hard work for me!  The recipes have used have all been delicious and easily adaptable to my family’s taste and the number of people I’m serving.

I purchased all of your freezer to slow cooker ebooks a month or so ago and I'm in love with this way of cooking.  I now have taken all 10 weeks of recipes and written them of my menu planner and then I repeated the 10 weeks and will continue to do so throughout the year.  My family of 5 adults and 1 child enjoy the meals that you have planned and I have cooked and I'm excited that the next time when that meal comes due up in the rotation I won't have to purchase anything but just pull it from the freezer.  Thank you so much

This makes my life so much easier. I'm a busy work at home/stay at home mom, wife, business woman and I feel like dinner is always the thing I just never get time to do. We have done like 15 of the crockpot recipes from Sarah and they are all very yummy. They get a thumbs up from my husband and kids every time. And there is always enough for my husband to take the left overs at least 2x per recipe. I have a family of 5, 2 adults, 21, 13, 16. So it makes plenty. Thank you Sarah.

I am a 59-year-old wife and mother of two grown children.  I love your idea of fixing a lot of meals ahead of time and then pulling one out, put it in the crockpot, and you have dinner when you get home.  I hate feeling rushed when I cook so Monday - Friday I use those crockpot meals and make enough that we have lunch the next day.  I take Sunday afternoon, fix up what I need for the week (I don't have a lot of freezer space so I do a week's worth at a time) and I'm done with it!  Saturdays I like to try new recipes from some of my cookbooks which I am finding I can freeze as well!  So you have shown me a whole new way to organize my time and still put a healthy meal on the table.  Thanks so much and I look forward to future blogs.
