I’ve been on a quest to lose weight and to gain health for quite a while.  I tend to be the one who jumps on the wagon, only to fall back off again.   I should be desiring to get healthy and because I’m doing that, it causes me to lose weight.  Instead, it tends to be the other way around.  I desire to lose weight and in so doing, I manage to get healthy.  The only problem is, it is so incredibly easy to fall back into bad eating habits!  Because of my continual desire of wanting to lose weight and get healthy, I’ve written lots of posts on the subject!  I thought I’d share some of those in case you missed them!

My Green Smoothie Recipe – I believe that green smoothies are an excellent way to sneak some more vegetables into your diet.  Here’s a common recipe for them that I have used.

14 Reasons to Skip the Soda – This post was written as a motivator to me!  I am definitely a soda drinker.  I give it up only to pick it back up again.  I’ve come to the conclusion that I must limit it as much as possible if I’m ever going to lose the weight that I want to.  I do still drink it on occasion though.

Making the Salad the Star – Eating plenty of vegetables is the biggest key in having a healthier lifestyle!  These tips will help you get more salad into your diet.

Motivate Your Kids to Choose Healthy Foods – This post is full of several ways that you can entice children to eat more healthfully.  Lots of fun ideas here!

Eat Your Vegetables – This post shares the many different reasons why we want to take the time to eat our vegetables!

Tracking Your Food – I feel that it is very important to track everything that goes into your mouth.  Since I first wrote this post, I’ve started using My Fitness Pal to track my food and have simply loved it!!  It has every food imaginable in the database and best of all, it’s free.  You can’t go wrong with that!

An Easy Taco Salad Lunch – Here’s a super easy lunch that I like to make, minus the taco chips.  It’s a great way to get some veggies in but not feel like that’s all that you’re eating.

7 Strategies to Help with Portion Control – Do you have a hard time not getting extra large helpings of your food?  Try these portion control techniques!  (and ignore the old weight loss effort at the top).

22 Tips to Keep You on a Diet – These tips came from my awesome Facebook readers!  You won’t want to miss them!!

My Beginning Shaklee 180 Program Results – I started off with a bang.  These results are exciting!

This is Day 3 in a 10 day series I’m doing on Healthy Eating.  I’m doing this series along with the iHomeschool Network.  There are many topics to choose between.   Click the picture below to see the rest of the topics!

Thank you so much! As a special needs mommy these recipes have helped us so much.   I often am very busy with being a nurse for our child that I don't have time for making sure we get meals.  This allows me to do all my prep on the weekends, while my husband is home to help, and to cook during the week.  So grateful!

Sarah’s Freezer to Slow Cooker ebooks have been a fantastic addition to my meal plans.  They make meal planning easy and my family happy. I love the way each recipe is laid out, with a shopping list and ingredient prep list, along with cooking instructions. Sarah’s done all the hard work for me!  The recipes have used have all been delicious and easily adaptable to my family’s taste and the number of people I’m serving.

I purchased all of your freezer to slow cooker ebooks a month or so ago and I'm in love with this way of cooking.  I now have taken all 10 weeks of recipes and written them of my menu planner and then I repeated the 10 weeks and will continue to do so throughout the year.  My family of 5 adults and 1 child enjoy the meals that you have planned and I have cooked and I'm excited that the next time when that meal comes due up in the rotation I won't have to purchase anything but just pull it from the freezer.  Thank you so much

This makes my life so much easier. I'm a busy work at home/stay at home mom, wife, business woman and I feel like dinner is always the thing I just never get time to do. We have done like 15 of the crockpot recipes from Sarah and they are all very yummy. They get a thumbs up from my husband and kids every time. And there is always enough for my husband to take the left overs at least 2x per recipe. I have a family of 5, 2 adults, 21, 13, 16. So it makes plenty. Thank you Sarah.

I am a 59-year-old wife and mother of two grown children.  I love your idea of fixing a lot of meals ahead of time and then pulling one out, put it in the crockpot, and you have dinner when you get home.  I hate feeling rushed when I cook so Monday - Friday I use those crockpot meals and make enough that we have lunch the next day.  I take Sunday afternoon, fix up what I need for the week (I don't have a lot of freezer space so I do a week's worth at a time) and I'm done with it!  Saturdays I like to try new recipes from some of my cookbooks which I am finding I can freeze as well!  So you have shown me a whole new way to organize my time and still put a healthy meal on the table.  Thanks so much and I look forward to future blogs.
