Pringles Summer Jam Sweeps

Our family seems to travel quite a bit during the summer months.  So far, this summer alone, I’ve been to 3 different theme parks with my kids.  That’s not a normal thing for me, but this summer, that’s just the way it worked out.  On many of our trips, we tend to pack lunches to save money.  We discovered that 2 of the 3 theme parks are so incredibly family friendly that they let you bring food in!  Pretty cool, huh?

We typically always bring sandwiches and chips, but we’ve found that if we ever bring bagged chips, they get crushed.  So….instead, we always pack Pringles®.  We love the variety of flavors and just love that we don’t have to eat smashed chips.  But another fun thing, we love how we can make music with the cans.  Have you ever taken a Pringles can and used it as a drum?  Or taken the last little bit of chips in there and used it as a shaker?  Yeah… me, too.  In fact, I used to do it when I was little, too.  As soon as a can of Pringles® was eaten, I’d grab the empty can and stash it in my room for some drums.  I think I borrwowed some of my mom’s pots and pans for this drum set as well.

Funny enough, I never went on to play the drums.  I did however learn to play the piano and the flute.  My mom was a piano teacher and instilled the love of music in our lives at an early age.  She’s even taught my kids to play the piano and my son is now taking guitar lessons.  Music has long sense a part of our lives!

We were having a Pringles® party outside, trying out our can drums and the baby (toddler, really) kept stealing them.  She just happens to love Pringles®, too!

It turns out that I’m not the only one to ever try out playing the drums on my Pringles® cans.  Apparently, it’s an online sensation.  Pringles® has challenged Percussion Prodigies to try out their Pringles® cans as drums and you should see some of the pieces they put together.  Here’s a video that was shared on the Pringles® website.

This one is probably my favorite….

But there’s several more good ones on their site here.

If you’re looking to make the most out of summer, Pringles® is offering you and a friend the chance to win a VIP experience to a Live Nation concert in the U.S.  (There’s lots of different concerts to choose from on the Live Nation site)

  • Just pick up a specially marked can of Pringles®, enter your code online and you could find yourself on an adventure of a lifetime.
  • Sweepstakes is open until 7/31/15 at 11:59pm ET.

If I were to win this sweepstakes, I’d take my husband to one of his favorite country music bands.   Maybe Tim McGraw or Kenny Chesney…..we’ll see.  What would you go to?

Would you like some Pringles®?

Thank you so much! As a special needs mommy these recipes have helped us so much.   I often am very busy with being a nurse for our child that I don't have time for making sure we get meals.  This allows me to do all my prep on the weekends, while my husband is home to help, and to cook during the week.  So grateful!

Sarah’s Freezer to Slow Cooker ebooks have been a fantastic addition to my meal plans.  They make meal planning easy and my family happy. I love the way each recipe is laid out, with a shopping list and ingredient prep list, along with cooking instructions. Sarah’s done all the hard work for me!  The recipes have used have all been delicious and easily adaptable to my family’s taste and the number of people I’m serving.

I purchased all of your freezer to slow cooker ebooks a month or so ago and I'm in love with this way of cooking.  I now have taken all 10 weeks of recipes and written them of my menu planner and then I repeated the 10 weeks and will continue to do so throughout the year.  My family of 5 adults and 1 child enjoy the meals that you have planned and I have cooked and I'm excited that the next time when that meal comes due up in the rotation I won't have to purchase anything but just pull it from the freezer.  Thank you so much

This makes my life so much easier. I'm a busy work at home/stay at home mom, wife, business woman and I feel like dinner is always the thing I just never get time to do. We have done like 15 of the crockpot recipes from Sarah and they are all very yummy. They get a thumbs up from my husband and kids every time. And there is always enough for my husband to take the left overs at least 2x per recipe. I have a family of 5, 2 adults, 21, 13, 16. So it makes plenty. Thank you Sarah.

I am a 59-year-old wife and mother of two grown children.  I love your idea of fixing a lot of meals ahead of time and then pulling one out, put it in the crockpot, and you have dinner when you get home.  I hate feeling rushed when I cook so Monday - Friday I use those crockpot meals and make enough that we have lunch the next day.  I take Sunday afternoon, fix up what I need for the week (I don't have a lot of freezer space so I do a week's worth at a time) and I'm done with it!  Saturdays I like to try new recipes from some of my cookbooks which I am finding I can freeze as well!  So you have shown me a whole new way to organize my time and still put a healthy meal on the table.  Thanks so much and I look forward to future blogs.
