Welcome back to Get Motivated Mondays, where we talk about ways to stay motivated in losing weight and getting healthier! Today, I have a special guest that I’ve interviewed about her success so far with the T-tapp exercise program. I met her on a Facebook group for moms with lots of children. I was so impressed with her quick results, I asked if she’d share a little more about her success. Please welcome Heather!

Sarah: Heather, thank you for joining us here on Sidetracked Sarah to share about your progress with using the T-tapp Exercise program. How many inches have you lost so far?
Heather: Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your blog. I’m very excited to share my T-Tapp experience with you and your readers. So far, I have lost 35.5 inches in the 7 weeks since I started getting serious with it again. Let me explain that those inches are taken from measurements of the waist, hips, upper and lower thighs, calves, upper arms, pecs, bust and ribs. I am happiest about the 4.5 inches that came off my waist! (click here for more information on where to measure).
Sarah: How many sizes does that equal? How many more sizes are you hoping to lose?

Heather: So far, I have lost two pant sizes, closer to three if you count that I should have been in the next size up before I started, but refused to buy bigger clothing before. I am very excited about the prospect of buying new, smaller clothing. I’ve only bought one smaller shirt and one smaller pair of pants for now because I do hope to lose at least one of two more clothing sizes. I’m using a lot of safety pins right now! 🙂
Sarah: I know with T-tapp, you’re really only supposed to focus on inches lost, but I’m curious, how many pounds have you lost?
Heather: I have lost 20 pounds!
Sarah: Wow, that’s great! Have all of your inch & pound loss been while using the T-tapp program?
Heather: I truly believe the massive inch loss has come from using T-Tapp which has really begun to tone my figure, but I’ve also been keeping track of calories through a website called myfitnesspal.com. It was very eye-opening to me to see how many calories are really in the foods I was eating every day.
Sarah: I just recently started using MyFitnesspal.com, too! How long has it taken you to lose that amount?
Heather: I lost the 20 pounds in 6 weeks. My weight loss has kind of leveled off, so I’m not losing as quickly now, but I am still seeing small losses every day. I weigh myself on my Wii Fit so that I can have a visual graph of my weight loss, so even .4 of a pound shows and encourages me to keep working at this.
Sarah: I understand that you’re also watching what you eat. Can you tell me a little more about that and what you’re eating?
Heather: I am eating more real foods, which just makes sense, but I am also not depriving myself of my few cravings. I just have smaller portions of them now. I really like a book called “The Schwarzbein Principle” for guiding me in making smart food choices. Choices that help my metabolism and my adrenal glands to be healthier. Because, I have struggled for quite a while with adrenal fatigue. Which is another great reason to use T-Tapp! I started with just 15 minutes a day, it is targeted, so it is very effective in that short amount of time and it doesn’t wear me out like a huge workout would.
Sarah: I know for me, it can be hard to stay motivated when following an exercise and eating program. What keeps you motivated?
Heather: Right now, the scale and my clothes that are falling off keep me motivated! 🙂 Really though, I’ve had such struggles with my health for the past few years since I contracted Lyme disease, that I am really praying that losing some of the weight and making myself physically stronger will help me have a more normal life. The thing that actually drove me back to T-Tapp (I had fits and starts of it in the past but never really stuck with it before.) is the fact that I literally could not get out of bed without extreme amounts of pain, I could barely walk due to pain in both my hips, I couldn’t hold my three year old, I was in pure physical misery and I was desperate. Within the first week of T-Tapp, I could move again without extreme pain. Now, I might have a few minutes of pain each day, but nothing like it was before and my flexibility is improving greatly and today, I even walked a mile, and half of that time I was pulling a wagon carrying my two youngest children!
Sarah: Wow, that’s exciting Heather. I have heard so many testimonials from fellow T-tappers who have experienced health benefits similar to the ones you have described, but for different symptoms. I am consistently amazed at how T-tapp not only helps your body to lose inches, but also to help heal itself. One last question, do you have any tips for those of us trying to exercise with small children around?
Heather: Well, since T-Tapp is only 15 minutes a day, I try very hard to remember that a healthy mommy is a happy mommy. When I am in pain I can’t be the mommy my children need me to be. So for me, getting in my T-Tapp is important enough that I make it a priority. I would recommend sitting the small children on the sofa nearby and letting them watch mommy, or possibly letting them watch a short video of their own while I get it done. Plus, after you get going with T-Tapp, you really can do it a few times a week and still maintain your muscle tone.
Sarah: Yes, Teresa’s motto is Less is More and that amazes me, too. You mean, I don’t have to work out for hours a week?! This mom of 6 is sure glad to have that! Let me just tell you Heather that I am totally impressed with your results. You’re doing a wonderful job! I so appreciate you taking the time to share with me and my readers!
Heather: Thank you again for having me! I know that on the T-Tapp website there is a forum with a wealth of information that your readers can check out. And T-Tapp is going to be starting a 60 day challenge soon, I hope to be a part of it and it would be great if your readers could join too!
Sarah: Oh yes, thank you for the reminder about the challenge. I do hope to join in on that this year! If you’re a reader and are planning to do the 60 Day Challenge, let me know. I’d love to stay in contact throughout the Challenge.
