Remember how I am trying to say yes more often? It’s sooooo hard! But, I’m mastering it, slowly but surely.
Do you know what I said yes to last week? Finger painting in the kitchen! I had the intent to do it outside, but the sidewalks were all wet from the rain we had the night before and if I would have put paper down, it would have gotten all wet. So…..we did it on the kitchen floor instead. I did let them wear their swim suits if they wanted to. And, it just so happens that we have a large roll of paper that was perfect for this project! Shaving Cream Finger Paint, here we come…….
How to Make Shaving Cream Finger Paint
Guess what? It’s super easy to make Shaving Cream Finger Paint! All you have to do is mix food coloring with shaving cream. We experimented with trying different colors and managed to come up with 12 of them! It was fun! Just ask my kids…they’ll tell you! 🙂
Once it was all mixed up. We laid out a long roll of paper and let them draw whatever it is they wanted to.
Getting your hands dirty with shaving cream may just make you smile! 🙂
Even the older kids enjoyed taking a turn!
This was their finished product! Nothing fancy, but they sure loved it. And it broke up the mundane day and added a little fun to it! Most importantly, it had me practicing that little word “yes” a bit more!
