My friend Holly loves food and knows how to win friends. She makes the most delicious food around! (No, she doesn’t have a blog of her own, but she needs one!) Each time we get together for a group gathering, she always brings something different. It’s usually something really yummy, but it’s also usually not very good for this girl who is trying to lose weight! (The last thing I shared of hers was the Red Velvet Gooey Butter Cookies – definitely not a diet food!)
I really enjoy deviled eggs, but mayonnaise is not a good thing to be eating when you’re trying to lose weight. Especially when you’re trying to eat a more natural/whole foods type of diet. When you can switch it out for avocado, it’s a win-win situation. Yes, I understand that avocado also has fat in it, but to me, it’s so good for you, it shouldn’t count. It has your essential fatty acids that your body so desperately needs! If you enjoy avocados, you’ll especially like this treat!
(The color here is slightly off. They’re much more of a light green than in this picture. This was a picture taken at night.)
