As you know, my daughter has been having issues with migraines. I’m slowly beginning to adjust her diet by giving her foods that are less processed. That’s a hard one though because, she is my one child who like’s the processed foods the most. So….instead of buying the junk, I’m trying to get a little more creative with it.
Here’s one snack plate I made for our kids this week. They thought it was fun.
Here’s what I used:
Orange segments for the ground
2 bananas for the trunk of the tree.
lettuce for the leaves.
1 cut up frozen strawberry for the blooms (or for apples, whichever you prefer)
And now you’re wondering….what will they do with the lettuce? If they won’t eat it plain (mine won’t), I suggest serving some dressing or something on the side for them to dip it into. Enjoy!
This is Day 6 in a 10 day series I’m doing on Healthy Eating. I’m doing this series along with the iHomeschool Network. There are many topics to choose between. Click the picture below to see the rest of the topics!
