While we were making these handprint butterflies (link will be visible early Wednesday morning), my 12 year old daughter decided that she should make a fun butterfly craft, too. We decided that they turned out so cute, we should share them here with you all so that you can make them!
What you need:
Construction Paper in 2-3 colors
Popsicle Stick
Glue
Take the Popsicle stick and trace around it. Cut it out and glue it to the Popsicle stick. You can do this for both sides if you would like both sides to have color. Alternatively, you could color the stick with markers.
Next, cut the butterfly shape out of another color of construction paper. Glue the Popsicle stick to the middle of the butterfly. Cut small circles out of varying colors of construction paper and glue it on the wings of the butterfly.
Admire your finished product. I think they turned out super cute. The Popsicle stick makes them more sturdy so they’re not as easily destroyed. This idea was created by my 12 year old daughter.
If you’d like a very rough template to cut your butterfly shape from, I scanned in an actual butterfly that you can print and cut as a template. You’ll have to cut around the stick….so not real professional looking, but you’ll get the idea. It was all I had time for! 🙂 Butterfly Template

That is a super easy craft. Sometimes the easiest ones are just the best. I love that they are accessible and anyone can do them. Thanks!
