Over the years, I have learned many ways to use vinegar. It can be used to clean kitchen appliances, remove wax, and even keep ants away. Here are 10 of my favorite tips:
19 Cleaning Tips Using Vinegar!
» Clean the Coffeemaker– Run a cycle of vinegar (at least 1 cup) through the coffeemaker and then run one or more cycles of water to flush it out completely.
» Clean the Dishwasher– Pour 1 cup of vinegar in the bottom of the empty dishwasher and run a cycle. This will clean the seals and remove any orders.
» Clean the Garbage Disposal– Run water down the drain, turn the garbage disposal on, and pour 1 cup of vinegar in the sink. Let the garbage disposal run for a few seconds. If it continues to have an odor, repeat the process.
» Remove Sticky Residue– Moisten the sticky residue with vinegar, let it sit for about 10 minutes, and then scrap it off.
» Clean Windows– Combine 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water in a spray bottle, spray the window, and wipe clean with a cloth.
» Clean the Microwave– Boil a 1/2 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water in a microwave safe bowl. Wipe out the inside of the microwave with a cloth to remove any food that has splattered.
» Clean the Refrigerator– Combine 2 cups of vinegar and 2 cups of water in a pail or large bowl. Dip a cloth into the mixture and wipe out the inside of the refrigerator.
» Keep Ants Away– Spray vinegar where you see ants inside the house and let it air dry. If the ants return, spray the vinegar again. You may need to repeat this step a few times till the ants stay away from the area.
» Clean Your Hands– Wipe your hands with vinegar after chopping garlic, onion, or other strong scents to remove the smell.
» Remove Candle Wax– Heat the wax with a blow dryer and remove any access wax. Combine 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water in a spray bottle, spray the wax, and scrub clean.
These cleaning tips will not only save you time but money too. Vinegar is so much cheaper than other cleaners and it can be used to clean many different things.
