My husband is a huge NFL football fan. We spend many Sunday afternoons with the TV playing his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He loves hollering at his team when they’re doing good AND when they’re doing bad. He also loves having great, delicious food while he’s watching the game. Especially Slow Cooker Chili!
For me, the main reason I’m excited about football season is because of the good food! LOL . Food can be a hobby, right?! I was pretty excited to finally be able to make chili again. It’s been so long since I’ve had it and I really like slow cooker chili. I love to put cheese, onions and sour cream on my chili. My husband does it a little different and adds ketchup and cheese to his. I’ve never really understood the ketchup thing, but… to each their own. I bet you like your chili even different than we do?
I really LOVE to make an extra large pot of chili so that we can invite friends over to watch the game, too. Plus, we can save the leftovers to put on hot dogs or baked potatoes throughout the week. There’s so many delicious things you can do with slow cooker chili.

The Best, Easy Slow Cooker Chili Recipe
Now let me tell you about the recipe real fast. Then there will be a printable recipe down at the bottom.
We started by browning the meat. My meat had a lot of grease, so I made sure to drain my grease and then rinse it, because I prefer a less greasy chili.
Next, I began adding my ingredients. I started with Bush’s Chili beans, then added onions, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and spices.
I let it cook for 4 hours on high and had a delicious chili ready for me!
Bush’s Beans are also great for making other game time snacks. There’s a great Black Bean Pineapple Dip Recipe here that you can use, or you can watch the video how to make it here.
Now, here’s the recipe and the video showing exactly how we made this amazing chili recipe.
