Today is day 4 of my series:
Posts in the series so far were:
Day 1: How to Make Coasters: Patriotic Style
Day 2: 4th of July Drinks for Kids & Adults Alike
Day 3: An American Flag Fruit Plate for July 4th
I happen to love nearly all decorations that are Red, White & Blue. I keep one side of my fireplace mantle (we have a fireplace in the middle of the room) decorated with stars and stripes all year long. Some people think it’s out of place and that I just decorated for the 4th of July, but I didn’t. And I don’t care! 😉
Here’s an easy craft to get your home decked out with patriotic embellishments.
4th of July Craft: Patriotic Wreath
Supplies:
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Card Stock Paper in Red, White & Blue (or you could use an old wallpaper book like we did!)
- Glue
- Star Stencil in multiple sizes.
First, start by cutting out a circle with a hole cut out of the middle of it for your wreath form.
Trace several red, white and blue stars in varying shapes. Cut them out.
Glue them all onto the cardboard wreath form. Place the larger ones on the bottom layer, overlapping a bit. Next, place the medium sized ones and then randomly place the smaller ones, being sure to alternate colors and sizes as much as possible.
Enjoy getting ready for food, fireworks, family and friends! In our town, they start selling fireworks on June 27th. Coming right up!
This post is a part of the 5 Days of Summer series that I’m hosting along with 11 other bloggers. Some of the topics include:
5 Days of Summer Organizing, 5 Days of Summer Love for Mom, 5 Days of Summer Reading

Love this! so clever of you to use pages from a wallpaper book.
Around here, we put up our patriotic decorations for Flag Day (June 14) and leave them up until aft the 4th.
pinning this – thanks!
