It’s time to make snack time fun. For us, this was our before bed snack. My kids are always soooo hungry come bed time. Hmm, could they be stalling. Yeah….probably. But last night, I was a little more sympathetic, as I was hungry, too!
I had made 3 snowman bagels for my 3rd, 4th and 5th born children, thinking that my teens may just be too old for it. NOPE, I was wrong. 🙂 My teens walked into the room and they not only wanted one, but they wanted it exactly the same. 🙂 So, off I went to the kitchen to whip up 2 more. My little 2 year old missed out, as he had gone to bed early. We’ll have to make it up to him!
For this snack, you can probably just use whatever you have around the house, but here’s what we used:
- Bagels
- Cream Cheese
- Pretzels for the hats
- Raisins for the eyes and mouth
- Carrot for the nose (I could’ve sworn we had baby carrots…but didn’t)
- Frozen Blueberries for the scarf.
- Chocolate Chips to color in the hat.
And here’s a picture of our completed snacky project.
Believe you me, it didn’t stay like this for long! They were all giggles and raved about how delicious it was. Funny how making something look fun to eat makes it all the more appealing to their eyes.
Here’s a couple more, that look very similar, but we had to readjust the hats, depending on the plate size…..
