Fall Trees Craft from a Paper Bag

Have you been decorating your house for the Fall?  I know, most of you probably already have your homes decked out by now, but what about with craft projects from your little ones?  We found the perfect centerpiece for our table, a group of fall trees, from a paper bag.  I think you’ll like them, too!

Supplies:

Paper bag (lunch bag size)
Scissors
Construction paper (red, orange, yellow)
Glue

Directions:

Start by cutting your bag, halfway down into strips.  Like this:

Cut into strips

Next, open the bag.

Open the Bag

Grab the bag in the middle with your fist.

Twist it to make the trunk.

Twist the Bag

Take 2 strips of the paper bag and twist them together to form the branches.

Twist branches together

Once you are done, manipulate them to look more like a tree.

Manipulate Your Branches

Tear your red, yellow and orange construction paper into small pieces to resemble leaves.  Glue them to the branches and on the base of the tree to resemble leaves that are falling from the tree.

Once you are finished, decide where you want to put it.

Since we have 4 girls who made one, we decided on a centerpiece for our table.  My 3 year old was pleased.
