Thanksgiving is a big day that requires planning ahead! But for the sidetracked mom, sometimes days pass us by and before we know it, it’s here! No need to panic though. We’ve got some great ideas brewing….
Last year was my first year ever hosting Thanksgiving at my house. We served 21 people. We pushed our two dining tables together and managed to seat everyone at what appeared to be one very long table. We ate on pretty, Thanksgiving themed paper plates and loved that we didn’t have a ton of plates to be washing afterwards. Another win for this sidetracked mom! (Even though someone bashed me for not using china on Facebook….apparently she stopped at the wrong page, lol).
I prefer to spend as much of my time as possible on Thanksgiving day with people, and not exhausted from slaving away in the kitchen, so I thought I’d put together a list of recipes you could do in your slow cooker. Obviously, you probably don’t have 8-10 slow cookers to make them all in, but with some careful planning, you could make one the day before and another the day of. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect combination of dishes to make. If you’re going to be traveling, slow cooker dishes are perfect for sharing, as you can just plug it in when you get to your destination to warm it back up.
