An Easy Paper Craft for Children
These puppets are a lot of fun! You can personalize them into many different animals! I’m going to show you how we made a frog. This post is very picture heavy. If you’re on a slow connection, I’m super sorry! (I was just there….can totally sypmathize!)
Supply List:
- Colored and white construction paper
- Black Marker
- Scissors
- Glue
First, you start out with a piece of construction paper. Fold the corner over like this:
Cut the end of the construction paper off, making it a square when it’s opened.
Fold each corner into itself like this:
Then do it again. Fold each corner in on itself.
Finally, it will look like this:
Fold in half to make a rectangle. Fold in half again to make a square. Unfold it back to a rectangle.
Slide your thumbs and index fingers into the four pockets so that you can open and close it.
Round the corners off. (For frog…may not want to for other animals)
Cut out tongue out of red, spots out of yellow and eyes out of white.
Glue all of the pieces in place. Draw eye balls onto the eyes. Draw black line down the middle of the back of the tongue.
Curl the tongue around a pencil or marker.
Have fun making them talk!
As you can see, you can change them up a little and make other animals.
