It’s Slime Time!

A Homemade Slime Recipe

Have you ever tried to make slime with your children?  It is A LOT of fun!  and it’s super easy and of course really cheap!  You will be voted the best mom in the house.  Oh wait, you’re the ONLY mom in the house?  That’s OK, they’ll still think you’re pretty cool for letting them do this.
Recipe:

1 t. Borax Powder

1 1/2 c. water (divided)
1 4 oz bottle of glue
Food coloring of your choice

Dissolve borax in 1 cup of water in a dish by stirring until you don’t see clumps.  In a separate dish, mix 1/2 cup of water with the bottle of glue.
Add food coloring of your choice to the glue & water mixture.

Once both dishes are completely mixed, combine them.  Watch to see what happens.  Keep stirring and a blob will start to appear.
Pull that blob out of the water and knead with your hands, squishing it between your fingers until it starts feeling a bit more dry.
Have a blast playing with it.
Be careful to play with it on a hard surface.  It will stick to clothes, paper and dogs.
Yes, the poor dog had some green slime drop on him and he got a bath for it!
Of course, if you happen to get it on any of those things, it will also wash right off!  Thank goodness!
