Slice smoked sausage into coins.
Slice potatoes into thin to medium slices, similar to scalloped potatoes.
Mix together garlic powder, onion powder and basil.
Mix together cream of mushroom soup and one cup of milk.
Place sausages in bottom of the slow cooker, followed by potatoes.
Sprinkle seasonings generously over the top of the potatoes.
Sprinkle half of cheese over the top of that.
Evenly pour soup mixture on top of everything.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on last and close the lid.
Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
