Ingredients

  • 1 4 lb beef brisket
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Honey BBQ Sauce

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 4 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp cold water
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  • Whisk together all ingredients for BBQ sauce
  • Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray & place brisket in
  • Rub seasonings over brisket & pour sauce over it
  • Cook on low 10 hours
  • Remove roast
  • Pour liquid into pan & bring to boil over medium heat
  • Stir cornstarch & water together until dissolved & add to sauce, cook on low until thickened
  • Shred or slice beef & serve with sauce

Freezer Bag Instructions

  • Mix together garlic powder, chili powder, salt & pepper.
  • Rub brisket with spices.
  • Place brisket in gallon size freezer safe bag.
  • Mix together Honey BBQ sauce ingredients and add to the bag, coating the brisket.
  • Label & lay bag flat in freezer
  • Get bag out of freezer the night before you plan to cook it
  • Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray
  • Place contents of bag into slow cooker
  • Cook on low 10 hours.
  • Remove Brisket.
  • Pour liquid into pan & bring to boil over medium heat
  • Stir cornstarch & water together until dissolved & add to sauce, cook on low until thickened
  • Shred or slice beef & serve with sauce
