Cheesy Garlic Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes Recipe
Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes are the gourmet way to eat mashed potatoes!
- 5 lbs yellow potatoes
- 1.25 cups chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp butter divided
- 1 8 oz block cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup real bacon bits
- Dried Parsley or sliced green onions and/or chives for garnish
Peel & Chop potatoes.
Place chopped potatoes in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
Pour chicken broth over the top, followed by minced garlic, salt and 1 tbsp of butter.
Close lid, close valve and set to cook on Manual/Pressure Cook, high pressure for 8 minutes.
Natural release (or quick release)
Mash potatoes and then add cheese, cream cheese, the rest of the butter and milk.
Continue mashing until all ingredients are mixed together nicely OR use mixer to beat until smooth.
Garnish with parsley or sliced green onions.
