French Dip Sandwiches

Craving some French Dip Sandwiches? Try them in the Slow Cooker! French Dip Sandwiches can be paired with so many side dishes including some french fries, sweet potato tots for a twist or even a nice, light and refreshing tomato, onion and cucumber salad – the options are endless!

Ingredients

  • 2 10.5 oz cans condensed French Onion Soup
  • 1 10.5 oz can of Beef Consommé
  • 3-4 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 8 sandwich rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Place roast into slow cooker.
  • Pour soup & consommé over roast.
  • Cook on low 8 hours or high 4 hours.
  • Remove liquid from slow cooker and put in small saucepan. Over medium heat, bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for about 10 minutes to make Au Jus dipping sauce
  • Shred beef with fork or slice.
  • Place meat on sandwich rolls, top with provolone cheese.
  • Optional: Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 5 minutes to allow cheese to melt.
  • Serve with sauce on the side for dipping.
