- 1 onion diced
- 1 lb mushrooms diced (Optional)
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp beef bouillon
- 4 lb chuck roast
- 1 1⁄2 tsp black pepper
- 2/3 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 jars roasted garlic pasta sauce
- 3 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1/8 cup fresh basil
- 1 lb cooked pasta of choice
Dice onions & mushrooms
Place onions, mushrooms, minced garlic & bouillon in slow cooker
Place roast in slow cooker & season with pepper, salt & garlic powder
Cover roast with pasta sauce
Cook on low for 7-9 hours. 20 min before serving, cook pasta according to package & drain
Shred roast & combine with sauce
Pour roast mixture over pasta
Garnish with parmesan cheese & basil
Freezer Bag Instructions:
- Dice onion & mushrooms
- Place all ingredients except parmesan cheese, basil, pasta sauce & pasta into gallon size freezer bag
- Label bag & lay flat to freeze
- Get bag out of freezer the night before you plan to cook it
- In the morning place contents of bag into slow cooker
- Pour 2 jars of pasta sauce over the top of roast.
- Cook on low 7-9 hours
- 20 min before serving, cook pasta according to package & drain
- Shred roast & combine with sauce
- Pour roast/sauce mixture over pasta
- Garnish with parmesan cheese & basil
