Do you find yourself in the drive-thru line all too often?

Are you ready to lose some weight and focus on healthy eating?

Are you sick and tired of trying to figure out what to fix for dinner every night?

I was, too!  And, I can help!

I no longer have to rely on convenience foods for dinner every night!

Hi, I'm Sarah Robinson.  A busy, work-from-home, homeschooling mom of 7.  I have been a drive -thru using, convenience-food-buying mom for many years, but I found a better way.  I'd like to help you find that way, too, by introducing you to the the Low Carb Freezer to Slow Cooker Subscription Plan.

“I will help you to make all of your dinners for the week in 1-2 hours on the weekend.  No more cooking an hour or more a day!  No more thinking through supper, either.  Just buy your ingredients, assemble it and you’re ready for the week!  “

Sarah's Story....

I remember when I first felt like I hit my breaking point when it came to preparing food AND trying to eat healthy and lose weight.

I was always waiting too long to start dinner, so I’d opt for easy convenience foods instead of healthier options.

My health seemed to be declining. My thyroid was out of whack and my blood pressure was climbing.  My weight was also inching up year after year.

I couldn’t seem to stay on track with any eating plan because I was so busy all the time.

When I did stick to an eating plan, it felt like I was thinking about food ALL DAY.  EVERY DAY.

I didn’t have time to think about food all the time, whether it was healthy food or non healthy food.

I just needed to eat and I needed to accomplish what feels like a thousand other things in a day.

My day would turn busy and I would end up grabbing anything that would feed me and my family a quick dinner with little effort, no longer caring about the results it was having on my body.

I was depressed and looking down on myself, always thinking tomorrow I would do better.

But tomorrow only came occasionally and not consistently.  Because it was too much work to think it all through.

But now, I figured out a better way.

There’s no need for me to feel so helpless.

I finally decided that it had to get better. We had to fix this problem.

And so…after many people asked me to create it, I decided to upgrade the Freezer to Slow Cooker Meal Plan and make the Low Carb Freezer to Slow Cooker

Meal Plan!

  • You rely on drive-thru's, take out, and convenience food more than you care to admit.
  • You’ve been meaning to lose weight for years and keep putting it off.
  • You never have the right ingredients on hand to make what you want to make.
  • You know you need to start a low carb diet, but you don’t want to think through what you’re going to eat.
  • You struggle with deciding what to fix for dinner.
  • You're bad about planning ahead, when you go grocery shopping.
  • When you cook dinner, you're eating the same things over and over again and you (or your family) aren't exactly happy about that.
  • You don't enjoy cooking.
  • You wish you could afford a personal chef.
  •  Your health is declining and you know you need to start eating healthier food.

What is the Freezer to Slow Cooker Subscription Plan?  Is it for me?

The Freezer to Slow Cooker Meal Plan is a tool to help you spend less time in the kitchen and more time doing the things you love. You will assemble all of your meals at the same time, in an hour or two over the weekend.  That way you don't have to cook when time is rushed.  When you subscribe, your weekly menu will be delivered to your inbox every Friday morning and will include:

6 Slow Cooker Recipes

Each recipe comes with six recipes, complete with instructions on how to make the recipe.  It  also includes directions on how to assemble it for the freezer so that you can cook it later on in the week.

Grocery List

I am often amazed at how long I can spend making a grocery list.  If you purchase this plan, you will no longer have to make your grocery list for your dinners each week.  You can quickly run to the store, saving you time and money in the long run.  Each ingredient has  a recipe number by it, so that if you decide not to make one of the recipes, you can easily mark that ingredient off of your shopping list .

Assembly Instructions

I know you may not be familiar with assembling your meals for the week all at once, so in each meal plan, I include step-by-step instructions on how to get your meals ready for the freezer.  I walk you through what order to do things in, in order to get your meals assembled in the fastest way possible.  We will be chopping similar items all at once!

Side Suggestions

Each recipe has side dish suggestions attached to it.  In addition, there is also a side suggestions shopping list that you can use, should you choose to use the given suggestions.

Blank Shopping List

Do you have more items you would like to add to your list?  I have provided a blank shopping list with each weekly menu, so you can add anything else you may need.

Labels

If you would like to place labels on your freezer bags, I've got printable labels with cooking instructions attached toward the end of each cookbook.  All you'll have to do is print it on printable label paper or on regular paper and tape it on.

FAQ About the Low Carb Recipes

Low Carb Freezer to Slow Cooker Meal Plan
  • What do you consider low carb?  In my years of experience with losing weight after having had 7 babies, I figured out that the best way for me to lose weight is to keep it simple.  By going on a low carb diet, I’m eliminating sugar and processed ingredients and I’m increasing protein, vegetables and healthy fats.  These recipes will not have white flour, white rice, sugar (or any form of it), corn or potatoes (because they are starchy, fattening vegetables).  They will be heavy in meats and vegetables.  They will not contain pasta.  On occasion, I may suggest a low carb tortilla or brown rice.  For me, personally, I aim to keep my carb count below 100 grams of carbohydrates, so these dinners will help you to do that, assuming you regulate it throughout the day as well.

  • Do you ever use sweeteners?  On occasion, if the recipe calls for a sweetener, I will use stevia.  I recommend buying a bag of THM stevia powder on Amazon to keep on hand, as it is the best tasting and does not have a bad after taste.

  • What do you use as a thickener?  In calculating the carb count of corn starch, I discovered that there are only 7 carbs in a tablespoon.  Most recipes that require thickening, will work well, using corn starch without altering your carb count much.  If it’s a soup and I can eliminate the corn starch, I may use cream cheese or sour cream.  Feel free to substitute your preferred thickener on these recipes.

  • Are they gluten free?  By being low carb, they typically ARE gluten free.  There may be occasional recipes that you would need to make a substitution on, but for the most part, yes, gluten free!  I’m planning to begin feeding my daughter who has epilepsy, a gluten free diet to see if it helps, so this will be for me, too!

Why Should I Buy the Freezer to Slow Cooker Subscription?

  • Saves Time.  A recent survey revealed that 90% of Sidetracked Sarah readers have said that they love Freezer to Slow Cooker meal plans because they save time. What family doesn't need more time? The beauty of this plan, is that I make your meal plan for you. You don't have to think about it, you don't have to plan your grocery list, you just have to hit print (or pull it up on your phone) and go! So simple!  Each weekly menu will only take you 1-2 hours per week to prepare. (My last cooking session took me 1.5 hours for our family of 9....) All you will have to do is put it in the slow cooker each morning and get it thawing the night before.
  • Saves Money.  Many people have told me that cooking from scratch more has helped them to save money on groceries! By having a plan when you go to the grocery store you're more likely to stick to the list, rather than buy lots of convenience foods, too. We all know that convenience foods can add up fast!
  • Keeps You Out of the Kitchen Every Night.  This is the number one benefit to me. I don't like stopping whatever it is that I'm doing that day, to start dinner. I love being able to put it in, in the morning and have it ready later in the day.  It totally changes the whole outlook of my day!
  • Great Variety Every Week.  This menu will typically have one pork recipe, 2 chicken recipes, 1-2 ground beef recipes and 1-2 other cuts of beef recipes. There will be some variation, but that is what I try to stick to. There will be a mix of Mexican dishes, Italian dishes, American dishes and more. We love variety, but we also love pleasing a kid's taste buds, so they are very kid and picky husband friendly!
  • Less Stress.  One of the things that causes me stress, is always having decisions to make. When you don't have to make the decisions about dinner, your stress level will go down. Also, by not having to hurry around to cook dinner in a timely manner, your meal times will be so much less stressful. Picture yourself at dinner time on a regular basis and think about the chaos that often surrounds it. Now, picture you walking into the kitchen at 5:00 p.m. with dinner already ready. You may have to make a quick side dish, but that's nothing compared to starting a dinner from scratch. This can happen on a daily basis and you'll get delicious food! No more take-out every other night!
  • Lose Weight.  By eating a low carb diet, it is much easier to lose weight.  Having your low carb meals planned for you, it makes your weight loss plan simpler, without as much thought

What Our Customers Say.....

"We've Seen Our Grocery Bill Drop Significantly"

"Hi Sarah!  Thank you so much for all the great recipes that you've shared on your blog!  I am a mom of a 2 year old girl and our family will be growing this November when we welcome our second child, a baby boy, into our lives!

I started following you about a month ago and since then, I have made 3 week's worth of your meals, we've seen our grocery bill drop significantly because I'm actually being more purposeful with my list and we're shopping at Aldi now, and I am loving that I won't have to worrry about the hassle of making dinner when the new baby arrives in 2 months!

I feel like I am "providing" for my family, at last!

"I want to thank you for the work you do on the recipes...I feel like I am "providing" for my family, at last!  My husband even said, after the first week, that he felt like a king, to be able to come home to a cooked meal (he often gets home about 3 hrs before, so this is the ideal solution for our current lifestyle)!  I am not sure what that says about us/me, that the standard was set so low for him to feel like royalty, but I'll take it!  Thanks again!!

But What If?

If you are not yet sure if you need this subscription, let me help, by answering some commonly asked questions.

What If I Can't Afford It?

When you look at the cost on a weekly basis, it is like paying someone anywhere from $3 to $4 per week to pick your meals, make your grocery list and tell you exactly what to do to get your meals prepared a week at a time.  How much is that worth to you?  What is your time worth?  How long would it take?  Do you think it's worth about $4 per week?  What if it saved you that much and more per week?

By having a menu plan, many Freezer to Slow Cooker users have reported that it actually saves them money because they don't buy unneeded items at the store in desperation! They quit buying as many convenience foods, too.  (Read some of the testimonials below for more information.)

What if I Don't Have Enough Time to Assemble The Meals Each Week?

If you don't have the time to assemble a week at a time, you can assemble a day at a time. You don't have to prepare them in advance, it's just a nice little asset to help you, if you can make the time for that.  A typical meal preparation time takes approximately 1 hour, but sometimes takes closer to 2 hours, depending on the recipes involved.

What If I don't Like The Meals?

If you don't like them, you can cancel your subscription at any time. But, I've been told time and time again, that families LOVE my meal plans. They're very kid friendly, pick-husband friendly and easily adaptable to your family's tastes.

What If I Don't Need 6 Slow Cooked Meals a Week?

We've made the grocery list so that it's super easy to mark things off that you won't be needing. Each recipe is numbered, and each ingredient has the recipe number by it, so if you don't need it, you can check it off of the shopping list very easily. This also helps you when you're taking inventory of your own pantry at home.

How one family of 4 puts the menu to use

"I purchased the  plan and have been preparing my freezer to crockpot meals for four weeks now.

I do my shopping on Saturday and prep on Sunday. I choose 5 recipes a week, and I actually double the recipes to create 2 sets of the weekly meals (making 10 meals) … I pop one set into the refrigerator freezer for the coming week, and I store the second set in the deep freezer for a future week; I have another full month of meals already on standby! It takes me about 2 hours.

On average, I spend around $200 a week on groceries (buying ONLY organic/hormone-free meat, veggies, pastas, sauces, etc.) … That is $20 a meal for a family of 4, AND each dinner leaves us with leftovers for 4 (so really, each meal could feed 8!).

I package leftovers every night in individual, 2-compartment trays with lids (bpa free, freezer/dishwasher/microwave safe) … The hubby takes one to work for lunch and my homeschooled child and I eat two for lunch. What about the other 2 nights of the week, you ask? … I only prepped 5 meals for the week. With our savings, we enjoy a guilt-free meal out at a restaurant one night a week; usually Friday or Saturday. And one night of the week, we take the remaining leftovers and have a ‘clear the fridge night’ … I warm up all of the leftovers and everyone picks their favorite of the week OR we sample a little from each! Bam! … Clean fridge, ready for a new week.

"The ingredients are things I already have on hand"

"I just wanted to thank you for your recipes! I subscribed to your meal plan last week and started cooking the recipes for my family. I have been hearing how good supper is every night! Your offer came at the right time as I was in a slump and at the “don’t know what to fix anymore” place. Just having ideas helps me so much.

There are a couple of things about your recipes that I appreciate that I wanted to share with you - they are recipes for food that real, ordinary people eat; and the ingredient are things that I already have on hand.  My family is not impressed with fancy food, and I find it a nuisance to have to buy special ingredients that I will only use once!"
