Guess what today is? It’s our Stop Procrastinating “Working Facebook” Party! Whoohoo! You know, I had no clue how this party was going to go last week, I just threw it out there to see what would happen. I think it was an incredible hit! Everyone who was participating got a lot done and they were super impressed at how much they could get done in 15 minute increments. We’re even working on getting some new times and days for those of you who can’t make it on our regular Wednesday party time. Today though, I’m going to make it an hour earlier than I did last week. We’ll go from 2-5 CST instead of 3-5 CST. This week is the only week it will go for 3 hours. This is because I didn’t announce the time change earlier and I didn’t want anyone to get upset with me for ending earlier than I originally said. After today, we’ll always meet from 2-4 CT. That way, maybe, our East Coast friends will be able to join us before supper a little easier! If you’re not familiar with this party….. what we do is get together on my Facebook wall and work on some projects in and around our homes. Things that we typically procrastinate on or you can choose the chores you need to do to get caught up, your choice. We work for 15 minutes and come back and chat for 15 minutes. Now….let’s talk about goals!
How’d you do on your goals this past week?
I did OK. I did wonderful while we were working during our party, but I didn’t get them all done. Here’s what I had last week.
- Do my 15 minute T-tapp Exercise Video – Not done, but I did go to the gym and did a 30 minute class – OUCH
Clean & Declutter the bathtub and it’s shelves. – Done. In fact, you can see a picture of it on my FB page during last week’s party.- Organize one drawer in the bathroom. – Oops, forgot about this one. Guess it’s moving to this week’s goals!
Clean Out & Organize the Refrigerator (not a thorough job, just a quick remove the old food and organize so I can find my stuff job)– Kinda done. Could do better, but I think I’ll count it.Organize & Wipe out one drawer in the kitchen.– Done. Because I spilled my drink in it. Now that’s a way to get something done, lol.Put away things on top of the Dryer and wipe it down– Done during our FB Party last week!- Go through sippy cup lids and throw away unneeded ones. Not Done
- Sweep Cobwebs from ceilings and corners of house, then dust book shelves. Not Done
Find 30 things to get rid of.Done. But I still need to drop it off.Plan 1 child’s school work for next week. Done.
Honestly, I’m pleased with this. I’m torn between needing to reduce my goals or just keep doing 10 a week and if I don’t get them done it’s OK. For now, I’m going to keep it at 10 a week and see how things progress.
This Week’s Goals for 1-9-13 (the ones I can do in 15 minute increments)
- Go through sippy cup lids and throw away unneeded ones.
- Sweep Cobwebs from ceilings and corners of house, then dust book shelves.
- Organize One Drawer in the Bathroom.
- T-tapp Exercise Program. Do 15 Minute Video 2x.
- Take Down Christmas Tree and store away in Basement
- Take Down Christmas Lights Outside – Yes, they’re still up!
- Plan another child’s weekly schedule (we are still doing school, I just want to be more planned).
- Clear the top of my dresser.
- Match socks – This may actually be a bigger job than 15 minutes….but we’ll do as much as we can in 15.
- Help kids clean out their school bins.
