Last year, my family went to my sister’s house for Thanksgiving. She had made a turkey and I brought one, too. After all the eating we could do, I still came home with an uncut turkey to eat up all on our own. We, of course, had made way too much food. In an effort to not waste it and to vary what we were eating, I decided to come up with a few recipes where I could still use up my leftover turkey, but not feel like we were having the traditional Thanksgiving meal every day. I also figured that if I prepped these recipes in my usual Freezer to Slow Cooker way, I wouldn’t need to worry about the meat getting old, as I’d be freezing it pretty quickly after it was cooked.
