We made this amazing recipe for my son’s prom dinner. There was a group of about 8 of them that were all dining together at his friend’s house. We wanted something somewhat fancy, but something really delicious. My son, Baylee, always requests peanut butter cup desserts, so I knew this one would be a hit! He’s homeschooled and wouldn’t have gotten to go, but a nice girl from youth group invited him along. Here he is with his date:
He wore his black Converse tennis shoes with his tux. It was hard for me to let him do it, lol, but….he IS 17 and what do moms know anyway? 🙂
He’s a good kid and had a great time with his friends. The day I made that dessert, I doubled it, so that our family back at home could sample it (and don’t worry, I’m not currently eating it, after telling you about my yo-yo dieting woes). I thought it would be a great time to share with all of you, as Mother’s Day is on Sunday and you will likely be looking for some yummy treats to be serving your moms. Or….you can hand the recipe over to your kids and let them make it just for you. It’s not that difficult. You won’t want to eat much though, it’s so rich and delicious, you could gain 10 pounds just looking at it. Well…hopefully not 10, but yeah, don’t go crazy!
Peanut Butter Chocolate Divine Recipe
Ingredients:
- 20 Oreo cookies, divided
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 8 oz box of cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 1-1/2 cups powdered sugar, divided
- 1 carton (16 ounces) whipped topping, divided
- 1 cup milk
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 15 miniature peanut butter cups, chopped
Instructions:
Start by crushing 16 of the 20 chocolate cookies. I crushed mine with a potato masher. It made it super easy!
Next, add the melted butter to the dish of crushed Oreos and press into the bottom of a 9×9 inch pan.
